Mihiret Ashagre is a 13 year old girl with mental disabilities, who has never been able to walk due to having paralyzed legs since birth. She goes to a special-needs school where they are a ble to address her limitations. Unfortunately, the house her and her family live in is rented so they couldn’t modify it to fit her. Getting physiotherapy was also difficult. Even though multiple places were keen take her on at first, they would later decline after they meet her. This is most likely due to the misconception that it would be difficult to treat someone with mental disabilities.
