Natnael Aklilu is a 12 year old boy who was physically disabled due to oxygen deprivation during delivery. The bones of his legs are bent at his knees and are unable to support his weight. And his knees became more damaged because he has to put all of his weight on them. The older he grows, the more weight his knees have to carry. He also has slight coordination problems. Living on the third floor of a condominium building has not made it easy on the family when it comes to moving him around. At school, his sister who is three years younger than him takes care of him. She is very protective of Natnael and even misses classes and playing with her friends just so she can keep him company. She also helps him use the toilet as the ones at their school are not suitable for his condition.
