Stitching New Stories of Strength

In another corner of the center, thread meets fabric, and confidence begins to grow.

Here, Bereket, a skilled tailor, trains six mothers in garment-making. Step by step, they learn measurement, pattern drafting, cutting, machine sewing, and finishing on both sewing and overlock machines. Every completed skirt, bag, or stitched line becomes more than a product — it becomes proof that their lives are expanding beyond survival.

Through this program, the women are not only gaining skills; they are preparing to put real products into the market — tote bags, children’s wear, simple skirts, and more. This is a key part of EAC’s goal to become a self-sustaining, self-funding nonprofit where women’s creations power long-term impact.

As these mothers sew, they are stitching resilience, dignity, and new beginnings — one seam at a time.

Stay with us as we help these women turn their skills into flourishing micro-businesses.
