Our Impact

 Physically disabled individuals, especially in developing countries, have limited accessibility. A few problems are:

• No suitable bathrooms at school or work
• Steps and curbs that block a person with mobility impairment from entering a building or using the sidewalk
• Low employment and enrollment in occupation and education sectors respectively

Disabled people are more likely to be unemployed and to face discrimination in the workplace. To alleviate these problems, we throughly assess the needs of our beneficiaries. We consider their day-to-day problems and what needs to be prioritized, and we meet those needs to the best of our ability. The equipment we provide are crutches, commodes, wheelchairs, and more.

The majority of our beneficiaries are children under the care of their parents. Not only are these parents responsible to care for them as any other parent, but they also have the obligation to accommodate their additional needs. So the equipment we supply helps both the children and their families. It makes it easier on everyone when the child is able to move around independently.

One of our partners is CURE Ethiopia Children’s Hospital. CURE is an orthopedic nonprofit hospital for children that operates in numerous countries all over the world. Their hospital has helped countless kids get the surgery they need but could not afford. Our partnership means we can give our beneficiaries access to medical care. Some of them are now regular patients of CURE Ethiopia and are getting physiotherapy and training. Help us make a bigger impact by donating or becoming a member.
